The Snowstar Ski Team Association (SST) is an independent non-profit corporation with 501c(3) status. We provide introductory level alpine ski race coaching and developmental race training at Snowstar Extreme Sports in Andalusia, Illinois.

SST competes as one of nine teams in the WIJARA (Wisconsin Illinois/Iowa Junior Alpine Racing Association) race league.

SST was founded in 1990 by a small group of Quad City area parents who wanted to provide a local program designed to teach skiing skills, improve individual skiing technique through group instruction, and compete in friendly competition in the WIJARA race league.

Our purpose is to help each team member improve their skills and enjoy the sport of alpine ski racing. Our qualified race coaches and coaching staff are certified and/or registered with USSA and focus on developing strong fundamental skiing skills in a positive environment. We want our athletes to develop self-confidence, practice self-discipline and be part of a team.

We value fun, team spirit, good sportsmanship, good academics, parental/family involvement and mutual respect. We offer an opportunity for our athletes to become great skiers, create friendships, and have fun.
